After the 5-1 defeat against Hertha, Eintracht boss Daniel Scherning reshuffles more than half the team, making six changes. Among others, top scorer Rayan Philippe and, for the first time this season, defence chief Ermin Bičakčić are on the bench.
Hendrix in for Kinsombi
Sacha Hildmann makes only one change to his starting line-up following the victory in Elversberg. Jorrit Hendrix returns after serving his suspension for accumulated yellow cards, replacing David Kinsombi.

Kryptonite
As a manager, Sascha Hildmann has never won against Braunschweig (1-1 in the first leg, in the 3. Liga with Münster and Kaiserslautern one draw and two defeats against Eintracht).
From goalscorer to boss
In the last encounter in Münster in November 2019 (1-1 in the 3rd division), Benjamin Kessel (now sporting director at Eintracht Braunschweig) scored for them. Münster's last home victory against Eintracht was in November 2018 (3-0, hat-trick by Martin Kobylanski). Braunschweig's last away win at the Preußenstadion was over 20 years ago (5-0 in August 2004 in the regional league).
Stronger Lions
The match between these two this season ended 1-1. In their previous Bundesliga 2 encounters, Braunschweig have won four (most recently in August 1990 with a 5-0 home win under manager Joachim Streich). Münster have won once against Eintracht in the Bundesliga 2, which was an away win (2-1 in May 1990).
Bundesliga flair in the relegation battle
Münster and Braunschweig were founding members of the Bundesliga in 1963/64, and are now playing together in the Bundesliga 2 for the first time in 34 years. Including matches in the Regionalliga, promotion play-offs and DFB Cup, there have been 25 competitive fixtures between them, with Braunschweig clearly ahead in the head-to-head record (16 wins for them, only five wins for Preußen Münster).
