Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga champions
Bayern Munich are Bundesliga champions for a record-extending ninth consecutive time, RB Leipzig's defeat to Borussia Dortmund sealing the deal even before Hansi Flick's men kicked off their Matchday 32 game with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Leipzig have been Bayern's nearest challengers for much of the 2020/21 campaign, but they came into their meeting with Borussia Dortmund - a dress rehearsal for Thursday's DFB Cup final - trailing the record champions by seven points.
Their 3-2 defeat leaves them with only six left to play for against Wolfsburg and Union Berlin in the final two games of the season, meaning a record 30th Bundesliga title is Bayern's.

Flick's charges celebrated their latest triumph in some style against Gladbach, putting six goals past the Foals without reply, with Robert Lewandowski's hat-trick moving him to within one goal of Gerd Müller's single-season record of 40.
"We knew one hour before the game that we were champions," Lewandowski told bundesliga.com afterwards. "But for us it was more important to show on the pitch why we are champions and show the best football.
"What we did during the game was spectacular, it was amazing because we scored so many goals. We showed that we are the best this season."

Meanwhile, Thomas Müller and David Alaba wrote their names into the record books by becoming the first players to win a 10th Meisterchale, one ahead of Javi Martinez and former teammate Frank Ribery.
"We celebrated a bit before the game," Müller said at the final whistle. "It allowed us to play with a bit more freedom. We've been working hard for these last two weeks, we had to put the work in to get back to our best."
