Who will be your Bundesliga Player of the Month for November?
The Bundesliga is once again presenting the official Player of the Month award for the 2025/26 season. The vote has been conducted by the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga in cooperation with its official licensing partner EA SPORTS since 2018/19. Deniz Undav, Michael Olise, Yan Diomande, Wouter Burger, Ibrahim Maza and Danilho Doekhi are the nominees for November 2025.

The award consists of a two-stage process in which the performance data of the players and then the choice of the fans and experts are taken into account.
The main factor for considering a matchday is the month in which its Saturday falls. This time the data refers to Matchdays 9-12.
November nominees
Undav was sidelined with an injury until October, but he returned at the peak of his powers in November and hit the ground running for Stuttgart. The striker started three matches and came off the bench in Hamburg during the first half. He’s been keeping the team going almost single-handedly too, having scored all of Stuttgart’s last six Bundesliga goals – the first time that has ever happened in club history.
As such, he was responsible for 75 percent of Stuttgart’s eight goals in November, and was also the league’s top scorer for the month. Undav appeared to have a shoot-on-sight policy - his 20 efforts on goal were also the highest total across the top flight. However, he didn’t actually have many clear-cut chances. His expected goals quota was just 1.9. But with an efficiency of +4.1, Stuttgart’s sharpshooter was absolutely clinical throughout November.
The term world-class almost doesn’t do justice to the quality of Olise’s performances in November. Against Freiburg on Matchday 11, he practically overturned a 2-0 deficit on his own, scoring twice and setting up three more goals. Five goal involvements in one match is extremely rare — the last player to do it was Harry Kane in his debut season in 2023/24, when he finished as Europe’s top scorer.
Despite coming off the bench twice as part of Bayern’s squad rotation, the 23-year-old remained an important pillar for the team. The 23 shooting chances he created for his teammates are all the more impressive given that he only started twice in November - putting him just one behind David Raum and Romano Schmid, both with a league-high 24. Olise’s influence is immense, whether he starts or comes on as an impact substitute.
Diomande is increasingly becoming a key player at Leipzig. The 19-year-old began the season as a challenger for a place on the wing, but by November he had more than made the spot his own, starting four times and even completing the full 90 minutes for the first time on Matchday 9, and again on Matchday 12.
Diomande scored twice, meaning he got the majority of his three league goals so far this season in November - no other Leipzig player scored more than once. He also played a major part in forcing Jeff Chabot to score an own goal against Stuttgart. Beyond his goals, Diomande was lively all over the pitch, contesting more challenges (108) than any other Bundesliga player, winning an outstanding 57 percent of them.
Burger did not miss a single minute of Bundesliga action in November — and he earned every bit of that playing time. The Dutchman shone last month with three goals and two assists for Hoffenheim. In his box-to-box role, he was directly involved in 50 percent of Hoffenheim’s goals, finishing November as the club’s outright top scorer and joint-leading assist provider.
Not only was he remarkably efficient, scoring three times from just 1.1 expected goals, he put in the hard yards too, covering 52.1 kilometres in November - more than any other Bundesliga player.
Ibrahim Maza (Bayer Leverkusen)
November was a breakthrough month for Maza at Leverkusen. With numerous absences in central midfield, the playmaker — who is actually more at home in an attacking role — dropped deeper and quickly nailed down a spot there. He started three matches in a row and also featured in Leverkusen’s fourth game in November, bringing important fighting spirit to the side. He contested more challenges (70) than any other Leverkusen player and won an impressive 61 percent of them.
Maza still had time to make plenty of mischief going forward, though, scoring his first two Bundesliga goals for the club on Matchday 10, strikes that made him the club’s joint-top scorer for the month. He then provided his first assist in the top flight on Matchday 12 to end November with a joint-club-leading three direct goal involvements.
Doekhi has been a figure of consistency at Union, playing every single minute in the Bundesliga since February 2024 – a run spanning 62 matches and only topped by Heidenheim’s Patrick Mainka. The centre-back was instrumental in Union achieving something unprecedented this season, with his brace and solid defensive efforts earning a 2-2 draw against Bayern to prevent the champions winning a game for the first time in 2025/26.
Union’s defensive players have been key to their good recent form, with their last seven goals split between Doekhi (four) and Rani Khedira (three). The Dutchman’s two strikes in November accounted for half of the Irons’ monthly total, while his six attempts on goal were the most by an Union player. However, his main job is at the back, where he ranks in the Bundesliga’s top 10 for duels won at an impressive 68 percent.
