Michael Olise, Christoph Baumgartner and the Bundesliga's top assist providers so far in 2025/26
Bayern Munich's Michael Olise leads the way at the top of the Bundesliga's assist charts so far in 2025/26, but there's a clutch of players not far behind. Get the lowdown on the biggest creative threats after 15 rounds of fixtures...
1) Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) - Eight
Just as he did last season when his 15 assists set the benchmark across the league, Olise is once again the Bundesliga’s top assist provider this term. Before the league's winter break, the Frenchman has already amassed eight assists. At the same stage last season, Bayern's No.17 was sitting on just five, which makes his current position all the more impressive.
Olise has not taken his foot off the gas this term and is continuing to operate as the primary creative dynamo in Bayern’s attack, dazzling with his vision, pinpoint final passes, and an uncanny ability to carve out chances in the tightest of spaces. Given his outstanding form and growing influence in the record champions' play, it's not out of the question that he may surpass his personal best this season.

=2) Christoph Baumgartner (RB Leipzig) - Six
Not only has Baumgartner been Leipzig’s most reliable finisher, scoring six goals - the joint-most alongside Yan Diomande - the Austrian also stands alone as the club’s top provider with six assists. That total already marks a new personal best for the Austrian in a single Bundesliga campaign, not even halfway through the season.

=2) Luis Díaz (Bayern Munich) - Six
In addition to being Bayern’s second-highest scorer with eight league goals, Díaz also sits joint-second in the club’s internal assist rankings with six. That gives the attacker 14 direct goal involvements overall - a tally surpassed league-wide only by teammates Harry Kane and Olise.
=2 Farès Chaïbi (Eintracht Frankfurt) - Six
Since undergoing a positional change at the start of this season which has seen him deployed deeper in midfield, Chaïbi has been leading the way for Frankfurt in terms of assists this term. The Algerian, who is currently away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, registered the most recent of his six assists back on Matchday 11 in a narrow 4-3 victory away to Cologne.

=2) Andrej Ilić (Union Berlin) - Six
Ilić's output for assists has been less consistent than some of the others on this list, but his playmaking has been no less impressive. Specifically - and most impressively - the Union forward picked up half of his six assists back on Matchday 4 in Union’s dramatic 4–3 win away at Frankfurt. What's more, in setting up the final three of Union’s four goals - the Serbian's hat-trick of assists were all scored by teammate Oliver Burke. Curiously enough, Ilić has not managed to tee up Burke since this season.
