In a video selfie taken at Bayern's Säberner Straße training complex in southern Munich on Monday, Müller said: "Hi guys, it’s my last goodbye to my training ground, the last goodbye to my dressing room. It was a pleasure, it was an honour to serve Bayern and now it’s time for a new chapter of my life.
"I’m happy with what I was able to experience. I’m happy with how many great people I met in this bubble, in this football bubble. It’s time to say goodbye. I wish you all the best."
Müller is yet to confirm what his "new chapter" will entail. He is reported to have received an offer from MLS club FC Cincinnati, while he has also confirmed that he is considering retirement.
Meanwhile, Bayern revealed that over 5,000 fans from more than 100 countries had written personal goodbye messages to Müller on the club's official social media channels.
