Quick-thinking Luka Vušković rushes to opposition player's aid
Luka Vušković made a potentially life-saving intervention following an injury to Rasmus Kristensen during Hamburg's meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt on Bundesliga Matchday 15.
Kristensen had challenged for a ball with Hamburg's Miro Muheim, before hitting the ground and staying down. Vušković reacted immediately, sticking his fingers into Kristensen's mouth to make sure he did not swallow his tongue.
The Danish defender was soon back on his feet following further checks by the Frankfurt medical team, but was substituted off as a precaution moments later. The match ended 1-1.
Vušković's prompt response is all the more remarkable, considering he is only 18 years old.
The Tottenham Hotspur loanee defender - already a senior Croatia international - has been enjoying a brilliant season in the Bundesliga, with his on-pitch performances recently recognised with the October Rookie of the Month award.

Following his instinctive action on Kristensen, the Milka Fair Play of the Season award could find its way into his collection of personal accolades come the end of 2025/26. The annual prize honours the most sporting act across Germany's top two divisions.
