Tuta leaves Eintracht Frankfurt for Qatar Stars League
Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that Brazilian defender Tuta has completed a move to Qatari club Al-Duhail.
Tuta, 26, joined Frankfurt from KV Kortrijk in summer 2019, initially being loaned back to the Belgian side, before bolting down a first-team place with Eintracht the following year.
The Brazilian made 187 appearances for the club, helping them win the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League and secure UEFA Champions League football via their league standing for the first time last term.
"The last six years have been amazing," he said in a video message posted on Frankfurt's official X (formerly Twitter) channel. "Every game, every night in the stadium was amazing. This, for sure, will keep in my heart for the rest of my life."
Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche said of the transfer: "Tuta has been an important part of our team over the past few years and has played a major role in Eintracht's development and success during this time.
"By winning the UEFA Europa League, he will forever be a part of the club's history. Therefore, it was a given for us that we would accept his request to transfer. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
