Vincent Kompany (head coach): "Today was intense. You could sense that Dortmund were determined to seize their opportunity. We noticed that throughout the entire 90 minutes. Even at 2-2, they continued to push forward, desperate to win. But our lads didn't just sit back, either. We kept trying to create our moments. In my opinion, it was a good advert for the Bundesliga. With intensity, goals and, above all, the absolute determination of both teams to keep pushing forward and win the game."

Joshua Kimmich (midfielder): "We won't blow an 11-point lead now. No one has ever squandered that kind of lead and it will stay that way. In the end, it was our mentality that made the difference today. We struggled for a long time. It was a very physical game, especially in the first half, which was very disjointed, with lots of interruptions, set pieces and fouls. We couldn't really get into a rhythm. In the second half, it became a bit more fluid. During the break, it was clear to us that it would be difficult for Dortmund to keep up the tempo for 90 minutes. They've had a tough few weeks with lots of games, we haven't. That's why we knew that the longer the game went on, the bigger our advantage would be. Fortunately, we were able to capitalise on that very late on."

Jonathan Tah (defender): "We knew how important today's game was for us. That's why we were determined to win it. Now we're going to keep going and not stop. It was hard work. I think it was a very passionate game. Both teams gave it their all. I felt that there were a lot of small mistakes on both sides, which made the opponent a little bit stronger. In the end, though, it was all about mentality and team spirit, and we brought that to the pitch today."

Harry Kane (forward): "It was a big game this season, away against such a strong team. To come back from that and then show the character and quality we showed in the second half says a lot about us as a team. We can enjoy that today and then look ahead to next week. A few weeks ago, we were 11 points ahead and we saw how quickly that can change with two results. We have to stay focused. It was obviously a big game, an important momentum boost for us with those eleven points. We're in a good position, but it's often easier to motivate yourself for top games like this. In the other games, you have to be just as focused and ready to fight."

Borussia Dortmund

Niko Kovač (head coach): After the [UEFA Champions League] game in Bergamo, it was a really good performance today. The team fought hard and really deserve credit. On the other side are Bayern Munich. If you look at the first goal alone: how Josh [Kimmich] finds Serge [Gnabry], and then scores the third, that's world class. That's ultimately the difference that was eon show today. Nevertheless, I would like to compliment my team. I've already told them that because they fought back with everything they had today. Bayern had to really stretch themselves to come away with the win here. With a bit of luck, you might get a draw in a game like this. In the end, it's the little touches of top quality, from Joshua Kimmich, for example, that make the difference."

Gregor Kobel (goalkeeper): "You have to say that Bayern showed exceptional quality in front of goal and made the most of their chances. We put up a great fight. We gave everything, tried to get the fans behind us, be physical and make it extremely difficult for them. We managed to do that for a long time. But in the end, they were just very, very good in front of goal. That's incredibly frustrating and hurts a lot. In terms of performance, it was a reaction to [the Atalanta defeat], but losing wasn't the objective."

Felix Nmecha (midfielder): "It's frustrating to lose a game like this. Bayern controlled a lot of it, but we gave it our all. I'm proud of our team. There's not much else to say. It was a really exciting game. And of course it's all the more bitter when you're so close to taking at least a point. When you're leading 1-0, you naturally want to defend your lead and win the game. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to do that. But as I said, I'm proud of the attitude we showed."
