Cologne's Ragnar Ache receives Bundesliga Goal of the Season trophy
Cologne striker Ragnar Ache was presented with the 2025/26 Bundesliga Goal of the Season trophy - for his unforgettable bicycle kick last season - by team-mate Saïd El Mala in pre-season training.
Ache slammed El Mala's cross home with a stunningly perfect bicycle kick in a Bundesliga meeting against Hoffenheim in February.
19-year-old attacker El Mala surprised his delighted team-mate in pre-season training by handing him the trophy confirming it was voted best strike of 2025/26.
Ache and Cologne will be on the hunt for goals again soon, with their 2026/27 campaign opening against Würzburger Kickers in the DFB Cup first round on 24 August (6pm CEST) before they start their league season - after finishing 14th last time - on 29 August.
Ironically, they begin with the same fixture in which Ache netted the sensational strike - at home to Hoffenheim (kick-off 3.30pm CEST).
