Šeško is the second striker to depart Leipzig this summer following veteran Yussuf Poulsen, who completed a switch to Hamburg in July. However, new head coach Ole Werner's squad has been boosted by the arrival of several players, including Johan Bakayako and Yan Diomande.
Leipzig kick off their campaign with their DFB Cup first-round tie against Sandhausen on 16 August, before contesting the 2025/26 Bundesliga curtain-raiser against Bayern a week later.
