Bayern Munich tie down Arijon Ibrahimovic and Lucas Copado
Bayern Munich have handed out new contracts to a pair of exciting young talents in Arijon Ibrahimovic and Lucas Copado.
Ibrahimovic - no relation to Zlatan - and Copado - very much the nephew of Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic - have been training with the first team in pre-season, despite being aged just 15 and 17 respectively.
Copado even made his debut with the seniors in their 3-2 friendly loss to Cologne, and Bayern Campus director Jochen Seitz is delighted to see them agree on deals which run until June 2024.
"Lucas and Ari have developed splendidly with us in recent years and were among the top performers in their teams," he told fcbayern.com. "We're absolutely convinced of their potential."
Both players are likely to be in Bayern's U19 squad next season, but they could be options from the bench when the record German champions take on fifth-tier Bremer SV in the first round of the DFB Cup on Friday.
