Jamal Musiala hitting stride at crucial juncture in Bayern Munich's campaign
After Bayern Munich announced that Serge Gnabry would be out for "a lengthy period" with an adductor injury, the recently crowned 2025/26 Bundesliga champions need Jamal Musiala to be back to his magical best on the season's home stretch as the Bavarians look to continue plotting their route to treble glory.
Not only did Bayern's 4-2 victory over Stuttgart on Matchday 30 deliver their 34th Bundesliga title, but with it came a seemingly full-circle moment for one of the Allianz Arena's favourite sons.
After falling a goal behind to the Swabians, Musiala received the ball out on the left wing, where he dribbled past both Bilal El Khannouss and Finn Jeltsch in his own inimitable style before reaching the byline, from where he dug out a perfect cross into the path of Raphaël Guerreiro, who needed only to stroke the ball home into an open net and equalise at 1-1.

It was a moment that reminded Bayern fans and the Bundesliga as a whole just how dangerous the Germany international can be - and was, prior to the six months he spent on the sidelines after suffering a broken leg at the FIFA Club World Cup last summer.
Musiala was at it again during Bayern's 2-0 DFB Cup semi-final victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday, setting up Harry Kane for the Bavarians' first-half opener at the BayArena. Five goal involvements in his last four appearances in all competitions certainly seem to suggest that the No.10's injury troubles are a thing of the past - and head coach Vincent Kompany appears to agree.
"Jamal's been playing with more freedom in recent weeks," said the Belgian after the victory in Leverkusen on Wednesday. "You can see that this joy in his game is slowly coming back. He was good today - that was obvious."

Additionally, with a total of 10 goal involvements (four goals, six assists) in just 17 appearances across all competitions this term, Musiala's efficiency in the final third is indicative of a return to normality.
And Kompany is fully confident in his star's ability to reach the stratospheric levels he set for himself prior to his injury. "If Jamal can hit the heights he did today, he'll definitely make us stronger," the tactician said. "Not many players are capable of that. Half of those goals and assists came when he probably wasn't at his very best."
The 23-year-old's efforts at the other end of the pitch have not gone unnoticed either. His three interceptions were the most of any player on the BayArena pitch on Wednesday night, while only Dayot Upamecano and Exequiel Palacios won more tackles in Bayern's 2-0 win.
"How many tackles did he make today? Four or five?" Bayern's board member for sport Max Eberl asked afterwards. "That's not what you'd expect from Jamal, but he's giving his all for the team. Every minute on the pitch is helping him. We're going to need him against Paris."
Musiala came off the bench in both legs of Bayern's 6-4 aggregate victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, but on current form, he will be difficult for Kompany to leave out of his starting XI against the reigning European champions in next week's semi-final first leg.
"When you're coming back from an injury like this, there shouldn't be any pressure on Jamal," Kompany insisted. The Bayern boss may be looking to temper expectations, but he might just find himself in the minority.
