Luis Díaz and Harry Kane were among the scorers as Bayern Munich overpowered Club Brugge to make it three wins from three in this season's UEFA Champions League league phase.
Bayern Munich 4-0 Club Brugge
Goals: 1-0 Karl 5' (assist: Tah), 2-0 Kane 14' (assist: Laimer), 3-0 Díaz 34' (assist: Laimer), 4-0 Jackson 79'
There was simply no stopping Bayern, who set the tone early on their way to a 12th straight competitive win to start 2025/26.
Making his full Champions League debut, 17-year-old Lennart Karl collected a pass from Jonathan Tah before racing towards the end of the Brugge area and hammering a stunning opening goal into the top corner with just five minutes on the clock.
Brugge goalkeeper Nordin Jackers pulled off a stunning save to prevent Aleksandar Pavlović adding a second, but there was no denying Kane soon after. Konrad Laimer did the hard work with a tenacious run and inch-perfect cross towards the back post, where Bayern's No.9 provided a routine finish for his 20th goal of the season in all competitions.
Bayern continued to flood forward at will as Díaz twice tested Jackers, before making it a case of third time lucky with a rocket-propelled finish that went in off the underside off the crossbar following more industrious play by Laimer.

It remained one-way traffic after the break as Kane sent a deflected effort wide and tested the reflexes of Jackers in quick succession. The English striker then fired over on the half-volley, before being denied a certain goal by half-time substitute Jorne Spileers' brave block.
That was to be Kane's final meaningful involvement, with Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson his replacement - and one of three Bayern changes - in the 69th minute.
The record champions' rhythm remained undisturbed as Michael Olise hit the woodwork from a corner, Dayot Upamecano shot straight at Jackers and Pavlović fired off a couple more warning shots.
Spileers made a goal-line clearance from Díaz after Jackers had saved from Jackson, who made his next attempt stick with a close-range finish following smart interplay between Olise and Laimer.
The full-time whistle couldn't come soon enough for Brugge as Bayern celebrated a 12th straight win in all competitions this season. Vincent Kompany's charges visit holders Paris Saint-Germain in their next Champions League outing on 4 November.
Match stats

Full-time: Bayern 4-0 Brugge
A comprehensive victory for Bayern. A dominant first-half display put the hosts in complete control, allowing Kompany to rotate in the second half. Jackson added a fourth late on to add further gloss to a complete performance that sees Bayern sitting pretty with three wins from three in second place in the table.

And now it is four!
Olise sends Laimer through in the box, but his effort is well-blocked. However, the ball deflects into the path of Jackson, who taps home his second Bayern goal.

How is it not 4-0?
Olise hits a powerful effort from the edge of the box that is well palmed away by Jackers, but only into the path of Jackson. The goalkeeper gets up quickly to smother the second chance, only for the ball to fall to Díaz. He shows composure to find space and beat the keeper, but his effort is cleared off the line by Spileers.
Pavlović fires over again
Bayern's midfielder is finding shooting space in the last few minutes. He has another go here, but this time he can't hit the target.
Pavlović almost adds to the tally
Jackson gets in behind via a deflection and pulls the ball back towards Pavlović inside the box. He shoots, but his effort is blocked in the knick of time. Goretzka then has a go, but misses the target.
Bayern come close again
Olise whips a corner towards the near post that bobbles against the post and bounces clear before Upamecano fires a shot straight at Jackers a few moments later.
Brugge want a penalty
Tzolis goes down under a challenge from Pavlović in the area, but the referee waves away the protests.
Kane denied again
Díaz gets to the byline and fizzes in a dangerous cross towards Kane. He gets his foot on the ball first, but his shot is blocked superbly by Spileers. That would have likely been 4-0 otherwise.
Kane fires over
Nice combination play sees Kane get into the box, but his half-volley goes over the bar from a tight angle.
Kane misses?
We're so used to seeing Kane score at the moment that it is a real shock when he misses, and he has done just that here. The Englishman gets on the end of a ball over the top and has just the keeper to beat, but his chipped effort is smothered by Jackers.
A chance
The ball bobbles loose to Siquet in the box after a Brugge corner, but he gets his effort all wrong. A good contact on the ball there, and that could have been dangerous.
A quieter opening phase
The opening ten minutes of this half haven't been as intense as the opening 45 minutes. Both sides are having spells with the ball.
Close from Kane
The Englishman controls a long ball nicely before dipping onto his left and shooting. His effort is deflected and drifts just inches wide of the far post.
A potential opportunity
The sub Siquet wins a free-kick in a good position on the right. The ball comes into the box and is nodded back across before being cleared.
Back underway
The ball is moving again in Munich.

Half-time: Bayern 3-0 Brugge
Bayern have simply blown Brugge away in this first half. Karl opened the scoring with a stunner after five minutes, and the hosts haven't looked back since. Kane tapped in a second ten minutes later before Díaz crashed home a third after 34 minutes. It is all about damage limitation for the visitors now.

Half-time
Added time
Just the one minute added on.
Kane hits the post!
Bayern come close to making it 4-0 on two separate occasions. Firstly, Kimmich dinks a ball across to Luis Díaz in the box, but he can't squeeze his effort past Jackers. Then Kane shuffles the ball onto his left foot and hammers one goalwards only to be denied by the woodwork.
Tzolis tests Neuer
Brugge's left-winger dips inside and has a go, but it is straightforward enough for Neuer.
Laimer almost breaks through
The Austrian almost manages to add his name to the scoresheet, but his shot is blocked before it can cause Jackers any problems.
Great delivery
Tzolis whips in a lovely cross from the left that narrowly avoids several Brugge players in the box. A firm touch on that, and Neuer would have had a lot to do.

Díaz hammers home for 3-0!
More magical combination play from Laimer and Díaz leads to Bayern's third. The Colombian is sent into the area by Laimer, and he crashes home a thunderbolt off the underside of the bar. Fantastic strike!
© BRUNO FAHY
So close to his second
Upamecano feeds Karl on the right in space. He cuts inside on his left and hammers a shot towards the near post, but his effort goes agonisingly wide. That was not far away at all.
Almost another opening
Kane controls the ball on the edge of the box and tries to feed Díaz, but Jackers gets out quickly to smother the danger.
Delightful from Olise
The Frenchman is terrorising the Brugge defence now. This time, he gets into the box, turns his man inside and out and slides a cross right across the six-yard box, but nobody is there to tuck the chance home.
Díaz tests Jackers
Neat approach play sees Kane dummy the ball for Díaz. The Colombian beats his man on the edge of the box and shoots with his left, but Jackers is out well to smother the chance.
Bayern hungry for more
The hosts are playing some relentless football at the moment and look like scoring every time they get forward.

Kane makes it 2-0!
Lovely combination play between Laimer and Díaz sees the former get behind the Brugge defence. Under pressure, the Austrian manages to fire in a low cross that Kane gobbles up greedily at the back post. That's his fifth Champions League goal of the season, and Bayern are cruising.

Karl shoots again
Shortly after the stunning stop from Jackers, Karl finds himself in shooting space again, although this time his effort is easy for the goalkeeper.
So close to the second!
Bayern come forward again through Olise and Karl before the former rolls the ball back to Pavlović on the edge of the box. He hits it first time and gets his shot absolutely right. Unfortunately for the Bayern midfielder, Jackers is equal to it and pulls off a stunning save to push the ball onto the post.
Brugge carry a threat
Despite falling a goal behind early, Brugge do look threatening when they move the ball forward quickly. Neuer has to be alert to cut out a dangerous through ball; otherwise, that could have been a real chance.

What a moment!
Karl picks up the ball about 35 yards from goal, sprints towards the edge of the penalty area and whips a stunning effort into the top corner with his left foot. A truly special moment from the 17-year-old on his first Champions League start.

Magical Olise
Stunning footwork from the Frenchman sees him nutmeg his opponent on the byline.
A promising start
The first shot of the game belongs to the guests. Forbs gets down the right and pulls it back towards Sabbe, who strikes it, but his shot is straight at Neuer.

More on those teams
Kompany makes two changes from his Der Klassiker-winning side as Boey and Jackson are replaced by Guerreiro and teenager Karl. No walk in the park
Club Brugge have lost only two of their 11 Belgian Pro League games so far this season, and sit in second place behind Union St. Gilloise. They've won seven and drawn two of the remaining games, and have also scored 18 goals in that time - the second highest tally in the division.

Kompany on facing Club Brugge
"Club Brugge are a working-class club, very Belgian. They've always been capable of getting good results in Europe. They're no easy opponents, they're very dangerous, which is why good preparation is also so important."

Kompany on extending his contract
"Everything's right in my personal life here in Munich, it's not difficult to feel at home here with the kids. That all helped. But my working environment is very healthy too - and I want to keep that calmness. I know it's Bayern Munich, but when I come here in the morning and have to do my job, I have a good working environment, even after defeats. There aren't many better places than Bayern Munich."
