Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker: A global affair
The eyes of the football world will be on Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena on Bundesliga Matchday 24 when the record champions host Borussia Dortmund.
There's no other game quite like Der Klassiker. Bayern and Dortmund are Germany's two biggest clubs and when they meet, everyone tunes in.
Broadcast live in more than 200 countries around the world and featuring some of the best footballers on the planet, the fixture has become a true global spectacle.
Twenty-two of the last 26 Bundesliga titles have gone the way of either Bayern or Dortmund, with the Reds chasing their ninth in a row. They're also on for their fifth straight Klassiker win, having come out on top home and away last term, whilst shading a pair of five-goal thrillers in the Supercup and league earlier in 2020/21.
Hansi Flick's side are 13 points clear of the 2019/20 Bundesliga runners-up, but only two better off than second-placed RB Leipzig. Fifth-placed Dortmund may be out the title reckoning for now, but can blow the race for top honours wide open with a win over one of their fiercest rivals.
With players of the ilk of Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus and Gio Reyna in their ranks, they have every chance. Then again, outgunning Robert Lewandowski, out-thinking Thomas Müller, outpacing Alphonso Davies and outfoxing Manuel Manuel is easier said than done.
