Bayer Leverkusen's Montrell Culbreath and Robert Andrich set for spells on the sideline

Montrell Culbreath and Robert Andrich will both miss Bayer Leverkusen's pre-season visit to England for friendlies against both Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest as a result of injury.

The two Werkself stars saw their playing time in their pre-season test against Sevilla cut short, with each of them now set for a spell on the sidelines.

Although Leverkusen secured a 2-1 win against the Spanish outfit, their focus will be on the health of Andrich and Culbreath with the new season right around the corner.

The diagnoses of their injuries are yet to be confirmed, although Culbreath has already been ruled out of the team's Bundesliga opener against Elversberg.

Andrich, on the other hand, has managed to avoid serious injury but will remain in Germany to train individually while his team-mates head to England.

Carles Martínez's squad will therefore be lighter than expected for their next two pre-season friendlies, although their recent victories against Kickers Offenbach (3-1), Genk (4-0), and Sevilla point to a side full of confidence at the moment.
