UTH IN THE BOOK
A late challenge from Uth showing his frustration and he's cautioned.
Jan-Luca Schuler, a 21-year-old youth product of Schalke, is on for his Bundesliga debut in the final 10 minutes. A striker on for another striker.
WOLF MAKES IT FOUR!
Another goal on the break for Gladbach as Plea sends Wolf into the penalty area on the left and he smashes a low drive back across goal through Ludewig and beyond Rönnow.
HERRMANN WASTES A CHANCE
Wolf finds Herrmann and sends him into the Schalke box down the left. He races towards the near post and has options around him, but decides to go for goal. It's a wasted chance as he can only find the side-netting.
INTO THE FINAL 15...
It looks like the points are heading the way of Gladbach here, unless Schalke can produce something special here late on to get back into the game.
Fresh legs in the Gladbach attack for the final 20 minutes with Wolf and Stindl both on, replacing Embolo and Thuram.
ALL GLADBACH NOW!
Embolo races into the Schalke box and dribbles past a defender before his effort is blocked. Plea is on the loose ball but his effort too is blocked, and Rönnow then gathers. Either way, it looks far more likely that Gladbach will extend their lead here than Schalke earning a comeback.
WHAT A HIT FROM NEUHAUS!
A superb first-time hit from the Germany international as the ball rolls out to him 25 yards from goal. Rönnow produces a fantastic to match that shot and tip the ball over the crossbar.
Zakaria's first start of the season was a good one and he's replaced by Kramer, while Lainer is on for Lazaro.
THURAM FIRES WIDE!
Another big chance to make it four for Thuram but he snatches at it. Gladbach break as Herrmann finds Plea, and he then sends Thuram in on goal on his left but the Frenchman sends his shot wide across goal.
Raman can't continue here after his earlier knock and he's replaced by Schöpf.
ALMOST FOR PLEA!
The Frenchman profits from a Kabak mistake at the back in his own penalty area and he looks to clip the ball past Rönnow from close range, but the goalkeeper stays big to clear the ball away.
SKRZYBSKI DRAGS ONE WIDE
A tidy move as Hoppe lays the ball off for Skrzybski to chase onto towards the edge of the Gladbach box. He goes for goal on his left, and drags it wide across goal.
THURAM DOING THE DIRTY WORK
Marcus ThuramSuat Serdar
The scorer of Schalke's goal looks in some pain as he awaits treatment on the pitch.
GLADBACH ON THE CHARGE
Thuram getting involved in this game at the start of the second half. The home side latching onto mistakes from Schalke whenever they make them here. Baum's side have to cut that out if they want to find a way back into this game.
THURAM MAKES IT THREE!
Gladbach make Schalke pay once again as Thuram scores his first goal since the second weekend of the season. A delightful free-kick from Herrmann which is clipped into the box. Ginter heads it down to Plea, who sees his shot saved and the rebound comes to Thuram to bury from close range.
The defender brings down Embolo has he looked to push the ball forward to go one-on-one with Rönnow. A superb counter there from Gladbach.
An early yellow card in the second half with Thuram pulling back Ludewig.
SECOND HALF BEGINS!
The ball is rolling again in Gladbach...
A GLADBACH OMEN
Gladbach have avoided defeat in every single game in which Wendt has scored in his Bundesliga career. A run of 15 games including a remarkable 14 wins, and just one draw.
CHANCES GALORE HERE!
SOMEHOW NOT ANOTHER!
Herrmann's corner is headed at goal by Thuram and it bounces back out off the crossbar. The rebound falls to Jantschke but he slices his shot wide from his left foot. A huge chance for Gladbach to double their lead before the break.
THURAM SHOT DEFLECTED
The Frenchman's first real effort on goal is deflected onto the roof of the Schalke net by Serdar.
WENDT SLOTS IT HOME!
Gladbach catch Schalke on the break once again to restore their lead. It's Neuhaus racing through the middle who plays Wendt the ball into the penalty area and he slots it past Rönnow at the near post for his first goal of the season.
He brings down Thuram has he looked to get onto a through-ball and he is cautioned.
Schalke playing as a team with energy and confidence so far. Raman's equaliser was important to get their heads up having gone behind to Neuhaus' opener.

UTH HITS THE POST!
A superb free-kick from Uth which kisses the outside of Sommer's post on its way past the goal. That was in a near-identical position to the one he scored against Mainz a few weeks ago.
STRUGGLING TO BEAT THE PRESS
Gladbach's issue so far has been in beating Schalke's high-press in this first-half. The away side are high up the pitch and contesting every one-on-one battle across Borussia-Park.
A rash challenge from the right-back on Raman and he is shown the first caution of the game.
SCHALKE GETTING CREATIVE
UTH THE MAN FOR SCHALKE
Mark Uth has now been involved in four of Schalke's six goals this season, with two goals and as many assists.
WHAT A FINISH FROM RAMAN!
A superb team goal from Schalke and it's a first in the Bundesliga for Raman since December 2019. Uth latches onto Thuram's sloppy pass and flicks the ball over the Gladbach defence for Raman to meet into the box and he sends the ball into the top corner with an outstanding volley. A finish of class from the Belgian!
SCHALKE KEEPING THEIR HEADS UP
The Royal Blues made a bright start here but one fine tackle from Zakaria and Gladbach have been able to take the lead. Manuel Baum will be hoping his troops stick to the gameplan.
TWO IN TWO FOR FLO!
Neuhaus put Gladbach ahead last weekend against Augsburg and has done the same again here for the Foals. That's two in as many games for the Germany international.
NEUHAUS PUTS GLADBACH AHEAD!
A swift counter and Gladbach take the lead. Zakaria wins the ball from Uth and the ball goes forward to Plea, whose pass into the penalty area is superb for Embolo. His attempt is cleared to the edge and Neuhaus meets it first-time and five Schalke defenders can't keep it out as they scramble on the goalline, but the ball finds its way over the line.
BOTH SIDES GETTING ON THE BALL
SKRZYBSKI HEADS WIDE
The bright start from Schalke continues as Uth's cross is headed wide by Skrzybski. The away side lining up in a 4-4-2 here, with Uth and Hoppe leading the attack. So far, so good.
HOPPE NOT FAR AWAY
The American's run in behind the Gladbach defence is spotted by Thiaw, who clips the ball into the Gladbach area for him to chase. He fires a first-time shot across goal ahead of Ginter, but sends it wide across goal beyond Sommer.
ZAKARIA FIRES WIDE
The midfielder races forward to get on the end of Thuram's cross deflected out to the edge of the box. But he gets his strike all wrong, sending it well wide of the target.
The Swiss international is starting in the Bundesliga for the first time since March here. A key man for Gladbach in central midfield.
The Royal Blues lining up with a four-man defence, with Thiaw at left-back and Ludewig at right-back. Uth is leading the attacking with Hoppe alongside him, and both Raman and Skrzybski wide.
UTH ON TARGET
Schalke have the game's first attempt on goal as Raman breaks away before finding Uth in attack. He cuts back onto his left-foot, but his shot is easily saved by Sommer.
The ball is rolling in Mönchengladbach.
The two teams gather in the centre-circle to remember Diego Maradona after the football legend passed away during the last week.

SCHALKE'S MAN TO BEAT TONIGHT
Yann Sommer has been in fine form this season for the Foals, both domestically and in Europe.
WATCH: GOOD MEMORIES FOR SCHALKE

GLADBACH TEAM NEWS
Now free of injury and illness, Marcus Thuram and Alassane Plea are deployed in tandem with Breel Embolo for company and captain Lars Stindl rested after helping the Foals to a 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donestk in midweek. Denis Zakaria made his comeback last time out after a long-term knee injury and starts here. After two frustrating results in the Bundesliga - a 4-3 loss to fellow European hopefuls Bayer Leverkusen and a 1-1 draw with 10-man Augsburg - Gladbach will be determined to get back to winning ways.
SCHALKE TEAM NEWS
Manuel Baum has to deal with a spate of absentees this weekend, including striker Goncalo Paciencia; American youngster Matthew Hoppe deputises for the Portugal international alongside Mark Uth. Frederik Rönnow continues in goal, with second-choice Ralf Fährmann sidelined at any rate by a groin strain.
