ANOTHER CORDOBA CHANCE!

Plattenhardt is sent away down the left by Dilrosun and he picks out Cordoba with a pin-perfect cross, but his header is off the mark with another chance going to waste. His final action of the day with Piatek coming on.
78'

SO CLOSE FOR WEGHORST!

A resulting free-kick is curled in by Mehmedi and Brooks' flick to the back post finds Weghorst, but his glancing header is just inches off target.
76'

IMMEDIATE YELLOW!

A rash foul from Plattenhardt on Baku sees him take the first yellow card of the game two minutes after coming on.
73'

HUGE CHANCE FOR CORDOBA!

Cunha has the ball and three men in support after Brooks' misplaced pass. It's a four-on-two, and Cunha finds Cordoba in the perfect place to shoot. He takes too long to wind up his shot though and Lacroix produces an outstanding block to deny him when he does pull the trigger. Fabulous defending in the end.
71'

BAKU THRIVING

The Wolfsburg goalscorer is enjoying himself in the capital. He plays a pretty pass forward, and is sent on the overlap down the right before his cross intended for Weghorst is just headed clear by Boyata. Most of the Wolves' attacking movement is coming on his side of the pitch.
69'

IMPROVING NOW

A bit more of time on the ball from Oliver Glasner's side, and more presence in midfield. Making life more difficult for the hosts.
66'

FRESH IDEAS

A change of personnel in support of Weghorst for the Wolves with Victor and Mehmedi on and into the attack.

GUENDOUZI DEBUT!

A change of Frenchmen here as Tousart is replaced by Guendouzi early in the second half.
53'

BIG CHANCE FOR HERTHA!

The home side counter superbly as Cordoba is found on the left, and he switches play to Lukebakio on the right corner of the Hertha box. He has time to wind up a shot and fires at goal, but Casteels makes a crucial save with his right foot. Hertha well on top here.
51'

CUNHA FREE-KICK

Perfect spot for a right-footer to shoot from a dead-ball, but it's a simple save for Casteels from Cunha's effort 25 yards out.
50'

STARTING BRIGHTLY AGAIN

The home side took the lead after just six minutes in the first half and are making a bright start here once again, putting Wolfsburg on the back foot.
46'

BACK UNDERWAY!

No changes at the break for either side as we enter the second half.

PEKARIK OFF TARGET

Hertha break forward with Lukebakio finding Cordoba ahead of him. He turns back in the Wolfsburg box and spots Pekarik's run to the edge of the penalty area, but the full-back's shot dribbles wide of goal.

PENALTY OVERTURNED

After a check with Video-Assist, referee Martin Petersen overturns his decision and no penalty is given for Hertha.

HERTHA PENALTY!

Alderete goes down in the box after a high foot from Weghorst and a penalty is given. This will be checked by Video-Assist.

A GREAT BATTLE

Hertha have worked their way back into this game having conceded their lead, and are testing the Wolfsburg defence. Brooks and Lacroix have kept Cordoba quiet for the most part so far, but Cunha is working hard.

HUGE CHANCE FOR ALDERETE!

Almost a first Hertha and Bundesliga goal for the Paraguayan centre-back who is up for a corner and stays in the Wolfsburg box to meet Cunha's clipped cross. His header is straight at Casteels from close range though, but it looked like he was in an offside position from Cunha's ball in.

PILING ON THE PRESSURE

It's all Wolfsburg here since Baku's equaliser, with the pressure mounting in the Hertha half.

WHAT A FINISH FROM BAKU!

Ridle Baku's first Wolfsburg goal is a stunner. A tidy move down the left as Brekalo plays Philipp towards the byline, and his pass back to the edge of the box is met by Baku who superbly touches it inside past Cunha before lashing the ball home with his left foot past Schwolow. Top class from the Wolfsburg right-back.

BREKALO WORKING HIS WAY!

A dangerous run across the edge of the Hertha box can't be stopped and the Croatian gets his shot away, but it's saved well by Schwolow and half-cleared by the defence in front of him. A few minutes of pressure here for the Wolves.

THE DIFFERENCE SO FAR

12'

END-TO-END STUFF

The ball is moving from one side of the pitch to the other in no time at all here, with both side's midfield players struggling to claim control of the ball. It's making for entertaining viewing so far.
10'

CORDOBA HEADS WIDE

Mittelstädt's whipped crossed from the left is met by Cordoba on the jump, but he can't keep his header on target.
9'

BRIGHT START HERE

Hertha score from their first attack while Wolfsburg have also had the ball in the net and have been attacking again already. A good start for both sides, but the hosts obviously happier having gone in front.
6'

CUNHA OPENS THE SCORING!

A goal ruled out at one end, but scored at the other! Lukebakio has the ball on the right and dribbles in and out past Roussillon before finding Cunha on the edge. The Brazilian falls as he shoots on his left, but he gets enough behind his effort to send it into the far bottom corner past Casteels.

PHILIPP SCORES, OFFSIDE!

Almost the dream start for Philipp in his Berlin return as Roussillon finds Weghorst in the box, and his ball across goal is poked home by the Wolfsburg forward. But Weghorst was offside when Roussillon's pass was played and so the goal is ruled out. Bright start from the visitors though.

WE'RE UNDERWAY!

Kick-off!

IT'S TIME!

Kick-off is just five minutes away in Berlin at the Olympiastadion for our final game of the day, before tomorrow's final game of the weekend between Hoffenheim and Union.

ARNOLD MISSING

Compared to last time out against Bielefeld, there are three changes for Wolfsburg. All three central midfielders from the last game don't start today (apart from Guilavogui, Arnold is also missing, Mehmedi is on the bench). Arnold is not involved today with his partner going into labour last night with the birth of their child expected today, so a congratulation goes out to him from us!

GUENDOUZI ON THE BENCH

Hertha's deadline day loan signing from Arsenal is waiting on the bench to make his Bundesliga debut today. Guendouzi was forced to isolate after 14 days after international duty last month, but is now back and able to help his new side.

WARM-UPS UNDERWAY!

THE GOALSCORER BATTLE

Cunha is Hertha’s two-goal leading marksman after five match days, but hasn’t scored in his last two. He netted his only goal in four career attempts against Wolfsburg in the 2018/19 DFB Cup last 16 whilst playing for RB Leipzig. Weghorst has also scored twice for Wolfsburg. The Dutchman topped his side’s scoring charts in 2018/19 and 2019/20.

WILL HERTHA KICK-START TODAY?

Hertha have made their worst start to a season for 11 years. The 2009/10 campaign ended in relegation to the second tier. The Old Lady have lost their first two games of the season. Three in a row to start a campaign would be a dubious club first.
