ALMOST FOR MEYER!

Wolf does superbly as he races across the Bielefeld box and nutmegs Brunner to put Meyer in on goal. He fires a shot away but it's superbly blocked by van der Hoorn. What a return that would've been for the German.

ADDED TIME

We'll have five minutes of time added on at the end of this one.

WELCOME BACK TO THE BUNDESLIGA, MEYER!

His first Bundesliga appearance since April 2018 and first in a Cologne shirt. Meyer on for Rexhbecaj for the final minutes.
90'

OFF THE POST!

Almost the second for Bielefeld as the ball falls kindly to Soukou in front of goal and he fires a shot at the goal from the near post. It bounces back out off the woodwork having beaten Horn.

PIEPER OFF WITH A KNOCK

The Bielefeld centre-back limps off here in the final minutes. A rub of salt in the wounds here for Bielefeld with a muscular strain by the looks of it.
85'

COLOGNE COMPOSED

The home side are looking more and more comfortable at the end of this game, despite conceding that goal to Cordova. Seufert is on for Hartel with Bielefeld switching things up in midfield.
82'

DOUBLE CHANGE

Fresh legs for the final eight minutes or so, with Jakobs and Dennis coming off having run their socks off. Thielmann and Özcan on in their place.
81'

BIELEFELD TESTING

The away side are pounding the Cologne area with crosses and winning corner after corner, but so far the Billy Goats' defence is standing up to the task.

DENNIS DOES WELL!

The debutant has been fantastic leading the line for Cologne, and he earns a corner after working space for a shot at the near post. Pieper with the cross as Cologne continue to push on, looking to put this game beyond Bielefeld's reach.
73'

BIELEFELD BACK IN IT?

Cordova is off the bench and onto the scoresheet with his second for the club to make things interesting. There's some miscommunication in the Cologne defence with Klos running onto a long ball into the home side's area, and he plays the pass across to Cordova to slot into the empty net.

COLOGNE IN DREAMLAND

It's been over 300 days since Cologne's last win at home in the Bundesliga, but they're set to bag a vital three points today with less than 20 minutes to play.
69'

FIRST CHANGE

Drexler for Duda in attacking midfield here with the first change. Could we also see a second Bundesliga debut for Max Meyer at some point?
64'

SOUKOU BOOKED

The player just brought on gets a yellow card with a studs-up challenge in midfield.
63'

COLOGNE IN DREAM LAND!

It's three now for Cologne and this time it's Rexhbecaj who gets among the goals. Skhiri's first-time pass through the middle is dummied by Dennis and runs through for Rexhbecaj, who then slots home past Ortega which could well seal Cologne's first win at home for almost a year.

COLOGNE KEEPING PACE

Bielefeld are pushing on in search of a goal which would bring this game to life, but Cologne are matching them stride for stride.
54'

DUDA BOOKED

A second yellow card of the game, both for Cologne, with Duda the next in the book for a foul on Schipplock.
53'

DOAN GOAL RULED OUT!

Bielefeld thought they were back in the game with a lovely goal from Doan. Klos held up the ball in the Cologne area and laid it off for Doan to stroke home, but the captain was adjudged to have controlled the ball with his hand.

LOVELY FOOTBALL

Some fine interplay between Wolf and Dennis, with the Nigerian teasing the Bielefeld defence before being sent away by Duda. His cross is hit at goal by Rexhbecaj, but deflects on its way and is a safe one for Ortega to grab.
48'

DOAN OUTNUMBERED

The Japan international being left alone in attack for Bielefeld so far, with few options opening up for him in attack. Could we see Cordova brought on sooner rather than later to bring a different energy to the Bielefeld frontline?
46'

BACK UNDERWAY!

The ball is rolling again for the second half with no changes to either side.

ADDED TIME

Just a single minute of added time at the end of this first half.
44'

DUDA ON TARGET

The playmaker brings down Rexhbecaj's ball into the centre, just inside the Bielefeld area, and goes for goal rather than finding another man in space. It's a good save from Ortega at his near post.
camera-photo

LEADER OF THE PACK!

Two goals from Marius Wolf have Cologne flying in the first half here.
42'

JAKOBS BOOKED

The first yellow card of the game goes to Cologne's winger, who brings down Kunze in midfield.
39'

YABO IN ON GOAL!

A big chance for Yabo as Klos plays him in on goal on the left. He's into the Cologne penalty area but snatches at his shot, sending it wide across goal.
38'

DOAN DOES WELL

The creative spark in Bielefeld's team is once again proving the key for them. He cuts inside from the right flank before shooting at goal from 20 yards out, but this one is easy for Horn to handle.
33'

AS THINGS STAND

With the scoreline as it is, Cologne will be moving up to the dizzy heights of 14th in the table, ahead of Hertha and Bielefeld - who will drop into the relegation play-off spot if the score stays like this.
30'

WHAT A DAY FOR WOLF

His first two goals for Cologne and a first career brace in the Bundesliga. His first 25 shots on goal this season hadn't gone in, but numbers 26 and 27 have both found the back of the net.

WOLF AT THE DOUBLE!

It's double delight for Cologne who have gone two goals up in the first 28 minutes here. It's Jakobs this time down the left, who dinks in a cross which is battled for by Dennis and eventually falls to the back post and Wolf. Yabo can't close him down quick enough, and Wolf smashes home at the near post past a helpless Ortega. What a start for Cologne!

BIG CHANCE!

Doan's free-kick is a scorcher and meets Schipplock with a free header from just six yards out. Horn is in the right place to meet his header at goal from close range and he makes an equally as good save to keep Bielefeld's first chance on goal out.

A first Cologne goal for Marius Wolf is what has the home side in front here.

BIELEFELD STAYING PATIENT

It's been a poor start to this game from Bielefeld with Cologne's pressing forcing mistakes out of them. That press has calmed in recent minutes, with the hosts not wanting to waste their energy too much and the away side are getting some time on the ball themselves.

COLOGNE PRESSING

The hosts showing some great energy here in the early stages, pressing Bielefeld's backline into their own half and forcing them to play the ball long. So far, the Cologne defence has done well in mopping up the ball and getting it to Jakobs and Dennis in attack. Both showing some great pace already as well.

WOLF BITES FIRST!

Cologne are ahead with just 10 minutes played and it's a first Cologne goal for Wolf. A cross comes in from the right following a corner and Skhiri's header forces Ortega into making a save. The loose ball falls in front of goal and Wolf is first to it, smashing the ball into the net for the lead.

SHOTS BLOCKED

A Cologne corner comes out to Jakobs and is hit back at goal with venum, but blocked by Pieper. It comes out to Duda who smashes a low shot at goal at the second time of asking, but he drags his effort just wide.

GETTING INTO IT

Both sides getting on the ball early, but neither looks to have the gameplan of holding onto possession for too long. Both sides pushing forward quickly with long balls, looking to put the opposition defence under immediate pressure.

FIVE AT THE BACK

It's a five-man defensive line for the home side today, with Mere, Czichos and J. Horn at centre-back. Wolf and Katterbach then playing as wing-back on either side. Duda, Rexhbecaj and Jakobs in closest support of Dennis.

BIELEFELD'S KEY MEN

Klos and Doan have a joint-team-high three league goals for Bielefeld this season. The duo are the only Arminia players to have found the net more than once in the 2020/21 campaign.

WATCH: WARM IT UP

Both teams are out warming up on a chilly day in the Cathedral city of Cologne.

GOALS FROM ELSEWHERE TO COME?

Ellyes Skhiri is Cologne's top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with three. Ondrej Duda is one of five players with two league goals. However, Emmanuel Denis is leading the attacking today, signed on loan from Club Brugge this week. He scored 17 goals in 69 Jupiler Pro League games in Belgium.

NEW BIELEFELD SIGNING

The promoted side have welcomed a late January signing today, with Masaya Okugawa signing on loan for the rest of the season from Red Bull Salzburg. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder will be looking to link up with fellow countryman Ritsu Doan, with the pair both coming from Japan.

WATCH: BIELEFELD 1-0 COLOGNE - LAST TIME OUT

In the reverse fixture between these two this season, Bielefeld earned their first win in the Bundesliga for 11 years.

TALE OF THE TAPE

This will be the duo's 26th top-flight meeting, of which none have previously ended goalless. Bielefeld boast 12 wins to Cologne's 11. Arminia have also had by far the better of their most recent meetings, winning six of the last eight Bundesliga fixtures (D1, L1), including the 1-0 victory this season.

FINALLY TIME FOR THREE POINTS?

Cologne are on a club-record run of 14 Bundesliga home games without a win (D6, L8). Their last three points at the RheinEnergieStadion came on 29 February 2020 against Schalke (3-0).

BIELEFELD TEAM NEWS

Despite a 5-1 loss to Frankfurt last weekend, coach Neuhaus sticks with much the same starting XI he has over the last four matches - the first time in six years Arminia have used the same team in four straight games. It includes joint-top scorers Doan and Klos, who have three goals apiece, while Schipplock has earned a rare start.

COLOGNE TEAM NEWS

Gisdol's side may have beaten Ruhr duo Dortmund and Schalke this season, but their only other win came against the team directly below them, Mainz. The 2-1 victory in Gelsenkirchen was the only time they’ve scored in the last seven fixtures. Striker Andersson remains sidelined, while Modeste missed a penalty in last week's 3-0 loss at Hoffenheim, son Dennis's arrival is particularly timely and he duly starts straight away. Jonas Hector also drops to the bench, with Elvis Rexhbecaj brought into midfield.
