Thank you, DERBYSTAR, for eight goal-filled Bundesliga seasons
The Bundesliga's partnership with DERBYSTAR comes to an end with the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, bringing an eight-year relationship to a close.
A Bundesliga era will come to an end at the season's conclusion.
The balls used in the relegation/promotion play-offs second legs will be the last from DERBYSTAR to appear on the pitches in Germany's top two tiers. After eight years, a successful partnership that began in the 2018/19 season is coming to an end.
“In light of the upcoming switch, we would like to express our special thanks to our current partner DERBYSTAR for the outstanding and consistently trusting cooperation," said DFL CEO Steffen Merkel in March 2025, when it was announced that adidas would become the official match ball supplier for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 from the 2026/27 season onwards,
