That means that Giovanni Reyna and Kjell Wätjen are the only players in the treatment room instead of in contention for this clash, while Nico Schlotterbeck is suspended after picking up a red card against Werder Bremen. That could see Ramy Bensebaini line up in a back three alongside Niclas Süle and Waldemar Anton.

Frank Schmidt is without a quartet of players for the trip to Dortmund. Young goalkeeper Frank Feller, Thomas Keller, Julian Niehues and Denis Thomalla are those who miss out. Otherwise, the Heidenheim head coach can choose from a full squad, including in-form youngster Paul Wanner.
