Asked after the Leipzig game about various comments from around German football saying he needs to be the country's No.1 at this summer's World Cup, Manuel Neuer gave a clear response of "yes" to the question of whether his decision to retire from international football is set in stone. The Bayern skipper therefore has no intention of featuring for Germany again, despite calls for his return.

Bayern beat RB Leipzig 2-0 on Wednesday night to advance to the semi-finals of the DFB Cup for the first time since 2019/20. Harry Kane and Luis Díaz got the goals at the Allianz Arena as the Bavarians keep their season going on all three fronts.
