WATCH: SERGE GNABRY - 'A JOY TO BE ON THE PITCH'
BAYERN RECLAIM TOP SPOT...
... in fine style! They blew Mainz away on their way back to the summit. Over to Union Berlin on Sunday...
Great hit by the Austrian, but it's a good height for Zentner. Solid save.
Unnecessary goal to concede as Ulreich's poor pass is picked off by Burgzorg. He back-heels to Ingvartsen, who curls home his fourth goal in as many league games from just inside the box.
TEL ADDS A FIFTH!
Bayern's 17-year-old Frenchman scores his third goal for the club. He's allowed to run inside and unleash a low shot from 18 yards that takes a deflection off Widmer and leaves Zentner stranded.
Tel's straight into the thick of things, hitting a shotting into the turf that Zentner does well to push to safety. What an introduction that would have been. Great effort by Mane today, by the way. A goal and two assists.
Standing ovation for Musiala - he's been immense again. On comes summer signing Gravenberch.
The ex-Mainz striker is doing everything he can to get on the scoresheet. His shot inside a crowded box, though, finds the right hand of Zentner.
Musiala with brilliant close control in the box, but Zentner makes a superb block. Mazraoui meets the ensuing cross, heading narrowly wide with the keeper glued to the spot. This could be a cricket score...
Like-for-like from both coaches. Ingvartsen's scored in his last three - can he get Mainz back into this?
FOUR FOR BAYERN!
It's been coming. Mainz don't stop Mane on the left-hand side. He hangs up a cross towards the edge of the six-yard box, where Goretzka arrives unmarked to power in a header.
Mane runs in off the left, leaving Edimilson Fernandes in his wake, before sending a swerving strike wide of the far post. Zentner perhaps had it covered...
Bayern are desperately unluckly not to have a fourth goal. Choupo-Moting beats Zentner to Mazraoui's low cross, but his shot from a tight angle hits the foot of the left-hand post. Goretzka then fires at the Mainz goalkeeper from range.
Same drill, but again his strike - a low drive - whistles wide. Bayern are purring...
Mainz concede possession in dangerous territory. Musiala pounces and finds Gnabry, whose goal-bound shot from 12 yards is blocked by Hack.
DE LIGT INJURY
De Ligt picked up a knock towards the end of the first half. Pavard's on in his stead. The Frenchman has made a few cameos at centre-back of late - his preferred defensive role.
But Mainz do score from the ensuing corner, Widmer meeting Martin's near-post cross with a flicked header. It ain't over yet!
Strange penalty from Burkardt. He goes high and dead central - Ulreich flicks it over the bar.
Ulreich tries to punch clear a cross, but unintentionally wipes out Burkardt in the process. There's a VAR check - and it's given.
MANE WITH TWO BITES!
Zentner guesses right - literally - but Mane buries the rebound.
Hack by name, Hack by nature. The Mainz defender upends Mane in the box. It's initially not given, but a VAR check confirms it was a clear foul.
NOT FAR AWAY!
Bayern on the move again with Davies. Choupo-Moting dummies a pass that reaches Gnabry on the corner of the box, but his dinked effort drifts wide of the far post. It's like poetry in motion when Bayern attack.
Mainz are so unlucky not to pull one back as Burkardt beats De Ligt to a cross from the right and crashes an effort against the bar. Lee then hits the follow-up onto the foot of Ulreich's left-hand post!
WHAT A GOAL!
Musiala strikes again! Davies flicks a pass along the edge of the box into the feet of the Bayern teen, who rolls it on to Choupo-Moting. He holds off three Mainz shirts, before returning a pass to Musiala for an eye-of-the-needle finish into the bottom corner. Seven Bundesliga goals for the season for the 19-year-old Wunderkind!
Burkardt rolls Kimmich and arrows a shot on the turn wide of the far post, pretty much out of nothing. He's gone nine Bundesliga matches without a goal since scoring in a 3-1 home win over Bayern on Matchday 32 of last season - one of three strikes in five career meetings with the record champions.
ONE HIGH-QUALITY GOAL THE DIFFERENCE
KNOCKING AT THE DOOR
Musiala's proving a real nusiance for the Mainz defence as he fashions space to fire a shot wide from 18 yards. Moments later, he sets up Mane, who drives an effort at a defender. The 05ers are sitting deep once again...
Burkardt clips a cross into the six-yard box from the left. Widmer sneaks in behind the Bayern defence, but his header is straight at Ulreich.
Bayern were hot favourites at kick-off, according to Bundesliga Match Facts, powered by AWS. Now they're over 80 percent likely to get the win...
NORMAL SERVICE RESUMED
Bayern are top of the Bundesliga, as thing stand, for the first time in 57 days!
Mainz are carved open as Goretzka shifts a pass inside for Gnabry. Choupo-Moting gets involved, before Gnabry shifts it out to Mane and continues his run into the box. Mane slides the ball towards the penalty spot, where Gnabry is able to control and fire through a ruck of white shirts to cap a wonderful team goal.
Brilliant from Musiala on the edge of the area. The teen wriggles clear and finds Choupo-Moting in the box. He could shoot, but has the smarts to lay the ball off for Gnabry. His cross finds Mane, who sends a side-footed volley into the side netting. First warning for Mainz!
Bayern are hogging possession. Mainz are camped deep in their own half, no doubt awaiting a breakaway opportunity. That'll be why Burkardt's started over Ingvarsten today.
Mainz get the ball rolling, dressed in all white. Big test for Svensson's side - perhaps the biggest in football.
THE STAGE IS SET
It's a full house, as ever, at the Allianz Arena. Bayern can go top, but Mainz will be no pushover - they're only four points further back and have taken 12 of their 18 points on the road...

BAYERN'S "GOOD FLOW"
Fresh from that impressive Champions League victory against Barcelona at the Camp Nou, Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann said his side were in "good flow," and "have a good togetherness," as they get set to face Mainz. "I'm very impressed by [my] team," the Bayern tactician added. "I'm sure we'll have a good mood and mentality on the pitch."
BAYERN ON A MISSION
"We want to restore order at the top of the Bundesliga," warned Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka a fortnight ago, when Bayern were outside the top four. Fast forward to back-to-back wins over Freiburg and Hoffenheim, and the record champions are right back in the groove. If they beat Mainz at the Allianz Arena, Julian Nagelsmann's side will return to the top of the Bundesliga for the first time since Matchday 4.
