That's that! No rollercoaster in Osnabrück today, but the hosts did race to a comfortable win with an entertaining second half. Before the break, the visitors dominated, but in the second half, however, things looked very different, as Kyereh scored shortly after coming on as a substitute to make it 1-0 for the hosts. Jacobsen headed home from a corner in the 76th minute to make it 2-0, before Meißner sealed the deal with a third. In the closing stages, the Lions pulled one back to make it 3-1, but they couldn't threaten the result at that stage.

Braunschweig's Johan Gómez made the switch to Chicago Fire in the MLS on Wednesday, just one day after his brother Jonathan Gómez had signed for Osnabrück from Saloniki. Although the latter starts today, there will be no family feud here in Osnabrück today.

New signing Gómez comes into the starting XI, with Münst dropping to the bench in his stead.
