Strange scene
Schwab accidentally runs into the referee, stopping play briefly. Play continues with a drop ball for the Storks.
86'
Five minutes remaining
Can Kiel turn the match around? Currently, the visitors have most of the possession, even though the Storks are pressing high up the pitch.
83'
Kiel threatened with a negative milestone
If the Storks lose, it would be their 50th home defeat in Bundesliga 2. Their first defeat came against Bayer Leverkusen (1-2) in 1978.
80'

Always a step too late
Since the equaliser, Kiel have been pressing higher up the pitch, but need to be wary of the 96ers.
66'
Vulnerable at set pieces
Three of Kiel's five conceded goals in the new season resulted from set pieces (twice from corners, once from a free kick).
64'
A first goal
It's the first goal in Bundesliga 2 for centre-back Ghiță, who also registered an assist on Matchday 1 against Kaiserslautern.
63'
Rapp reacts...
...and brings on Kaprálik for the lively Bernhardsson, who was particularly active in the first half.
62'
Equaliser from a corner!
The ball is in the Kiel net right after those changes! Leopold delivers a corner from the left high into the centre, where Ghiță rises highest and places the ball into the far corner.
61'
Fresh Legs
Titz recognises that his team could use some new energy and makes a triple substitution. Among others, Källman comes on, who already has three goals as a substitute to his name.

Not incisive enough
In the first few minutes of the second half, Hannover still seem a bit more determined than Kiel, but they've been too ineffective in front of goal so far.
52'
Poor ball
Kiel keeper Noll concedes possession and Aseko Nkili collects the ball, but decides against building a quick attack. The 96ers remain in possession.
50'
Striker's foul
The ball bounces to Aseko Nkili's feet and he tries to get a shot off but accidentally hacks into Wagner's feet instead of hitting the ball.
48'
Leopold takes it
Instead of Neubauer, this time Leopold is allowed to take the free kick, and the ball goes straight into the Kiel wall.
46'
Clear Yellow
Therkelsen brings down the lively Matsuda immediately after the restart.

We're back underway!
Kiel's Davidsen replaces Knudsen for the second half, which Hannover have just kicked off.

26'
How will Hannover react?
The 96ers haven't let the conceded goal discourage them, and are now back on the attack.

He keeps scoring
Phil Harres scores for the first time in Bundesliga 2 – last season the striker, who was signed from regional league side Homburg, was a surprise package with his eight Bundesliga goals.
23'
Tolkin provides the assist
Brilliant cross from the US defender - in the last two matches, Tolkin has scored himself and now, in a new role on the right, he has contributed with an assist for Kiel's goal.

Neubauer!

Good free-kick position

12'
Hannover 96 applying pressure
The visitors are pushing the home team back into their own half, with Kiel waiting for an opening for a counter-attack.

First threat
Ghiță, with his back to the goal, deflects the resulting free kick, but the ball flies a good metre wide of the left post of the Kiel goal
9'
That hurt
Pichler gets Wagner's leg rammed into his stomach in midfield. Both need a moment to recover, but they can both continue.
7'
Almost an own goal!
What a mess! Tomiak, as the last man for Hannover, thinks keeper Noll is right behind him, but he's actually standing a bit further to the right, so his firm pass rolls metres past him – but, luckily, also a few metres past his own goal.
5'
Hannover feeling the game out
The Lower Saxons have had more possession of the ball in the past couple of minutes, but still lack the drive towards goal.
3'
Cut short
Matsuda attempts a long throw-in into the six-yard box, but the 96ers are called back as Gansloweit spots an offensive foul.

Kick-off!
The ball is rolling in Kiel, where the home side have got us underway.
キックオフ
Both unchanged
Coaches Marcel Rapp and Christian Titz seem to agree with the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" as they field the same starting line-ups that secured victories last time out. This marks the first time this season that neither team has made any changes to their starting XI.

Titz in Kiel
Christian Titz has visited Kiel as a coach three times and won every time (all with Magdeburg). Strangely, though, he's only managed a single point in three home matches against Holstein, including defeat on his Bundesliga 2 debut in charge of Hamburg (3-0).

A future-defining defeat
Hannover's last wins over Kiel came in 2021/22. Their 3-0 victory at home on 18 September prompted the resignation of Ole Werner at Holstein. Marcel Rapp took over and would famously lead the Storks into the Bundesliga for the first time.
