Full-time: Nuremberg 0-1 Darmstadt
In a somewhat more offensive second half, there were chances for both teams. The majority were created by the home side. However, initially, no-one showed the individual quality required to make the difference in this match. A draw would have been fair, but Corredor decided otherwise seconds before the end. Darmstadt, with two wins, now top of the table at this early stage of the campaign.

Goal for Darmstadt!
Unbelievable! In the last minute of stoppage time, the visitors score through substitute striker Corredor. After a headed flick-on from Hornby, the forward runs through relatively unchallenged and beats Reichert with a low shot into the bottom corner.

Which streak will end?
Nuremberg haven't won a home match for 145 days (last time in March against Fürth), while Darmstadt have been without an away win for even longer - 258 days (last picked up three points on the road in November 2024 in Hannover).
Striker back
Killian Corredor, who scored eight goals last season, is back after missing the opening game.
Bayern loanee in the squad
Nuremberg's new acquisition Tarek Buchmann, on loan from Bayern, is in the squad for the first time. The 20-year-old is an option in central defence.
Both teams unchanged
Both Nuremberg head coach Miroslav Klose and Darmstadt counterpart Florian Kohfeldt are sticking with the same starting eleven that began the first matchday.

Nurmberg past for Darmstadt's Nürnberger
Fabian Nürnberger played for Nuremberg for five years before a transfer to Darmstadt in 2023. He made 100 Bundesliga 2 appearances for Friday's opponents, scoring seven goals.
Bremen background in common
Both coaches were on the books of Werder Bremen at the same time, but while Klose was with the first team, appearing in the Champions League from 2004 to 2007, Kohfeldt was in the reserve ranks and began working as a youth coach at Bremen from 2006.
Differing records for coaches
While Miroslav Klose has never lost as a coach against Darmstadt (with one win and one draw), Florian Kohfeldt has not yet managed a victory against Nuremberg (suffering one defeat with the Lilies and taking two 1-1 draws in the Bundesliga with Bremen).
Lilies like going to Nuremberg
Darmstadt have won three of their last five away matches in Nuremberg and have lost on only two of their last eleven visits. One of those came in last season's encounter, as Nuremberg won 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Tim Drexler.
Goals on the agenda
None of the previous 43 competitive matches between the two sides have ended goalless. There have been 26 of those in Bundesliga 2, with both clubs boasting nine wins each.
