Canada's big win against Qatar boosted their goal difference and left them in a strong position to reach the round of 32. They would only finish outside the top two should they lose to Switzerland and Bosnia beat Qatar, alongside a goal difference swing of nine. Switzerland, meanwhile, would finish third if they are beaten by Canada and Qatar inflict a big defeat on Bosnia, with the same goal difference swing required.
