No fewer than six Americans that have started a game in the Bundesliga this season have also scored, with Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, John Brooks, Fabian Johnson, Bobby Wood and Alfredo Morales all on target just 13 games into the 2018/19 campaign. Join bundesliga.com for a star-spangled overview of how the U.S. soccer stars are faring in Germany’s top division, week on week.

Christian Pulisic

Club: Borussia Dortmund
Age: 20
Position: Winger/Attacking midfielder

Pulisic has made four starts and four substitute appearances in 2018/19. He found the equaliser in the Matchday 4 draw at Hoffenheim, as well as laying on assists against Nuremberg and Stuttgart. Muscular problems have kept him out of four games, including the most recent assignment against Freiburg on Matchday 13.

Weston McKennie

Club: Schalke
Age: 20
Position: Central midfielder

McKennie followed up on his maiden UEFA Champions League goal against Lokomotiv Moscow with his second strike in as many games, opening the scoring in Schalke’s 2-0 win at Fortuna Düsseldorf on Matchday 7. He's had a couple of minor niggles, but has still made 10 appearances, even moonlighting as a second striker on a couple of occasions.

Josh Sargent

Club: Werder Bremen
Age: 18
Position: Striker

Sargent is yet to make his debut for Werder Bremen’s first-team, but according to head coach Florian Kohfeldt the 18-year-old has "outgrown the reserves". Seven goals in 11 games for Bremen’s U23s go some way to explaining the club’s faith in the youngster. He also scored his second senior international goal in the USA's friendly draw with Peru in October.
