Yan Diomande back in RB Leipzig training
RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has returned to training at the club's pre-season camp in Austria after recovering from an illness.
Initially, the Ivorian - who struck 12 goals and provided eight assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season - didn't travel with his Leipzig team-mates to Saalfelden, but he is now fit to start his preparations for 2026/27 after making a full recovery.
Diomande played a crucial role in securing Leipzig's UEFA Champions League return after a year's absence following their third-placed finish under head coach Ole Werner, who has since been replaced by Martín Demichelis.
With squad planning and preparations well under way for the upcoming campaign, sporting director Marcel Schäfer, at the club's training camp, issued a statement on transfer speculation involving Diomande.
"A few days ago, one or two so-called transfer experts were saying the deal was done," Schäfer said on Tuesday. "But that is simply not the case.
"Yan is under contract with us – he's our player."

Leipzig's season starts with a DFB Cup first-round trip to Eintracht Trier on 22 August before hosting Borussia Mönchengladbach in their Bundesliga opener a week later.
