What has Michael Olise brought to 2025/26 Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich?
Since joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024 from Crystal Palace, Michael Olise has looked like he was born to pull on the red of Der Rekordmeister, and this season has been no different.
Age: 24
Position: Right wing
Appearances (starts): 28 (22)
Goals / assists: 12 / 18
Impact
After dropping a sensational 27-goal contributions in the Bundesliga last season, Olise has already bettered that total with four games of the current campaign remaining. In the league, the Frenchman leads the assist leaderboard with 18, six ahead of his nearest competitor, teammate Luis Díaz.
He also has 12 goals to his name, putting him joint-fifth in the top scorer charts and equalling his total for last season.

The tricky winger has an air of calmness every time he takes to the field, seemingly breezing past opponents with ease – and not just in the Bundesliga. Olise has wreaked havoc on Bayern’s right in the UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals and providing seven assists to help fire the Bavarians in to the semi-finals. He has also scored two and assisted two in the DFB Cup, where Bayern face Bayer Leverkusen in the last four.
The other thing about Olise is that he is almost always available. He has only missed three games in all competitions this season, two of which were due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Standout moment
Although Olise has grabbed four doubles across all competitions this season and scored plenty of magnificent goals, his standout moment has to be his performance against Freiburg on Matchday 11.
During Bayern’s 6-2 win, Olise scored two and provided three assists in a hugely successful day at the office. After Bayern had fallen 2-0 behind, Olise assisted Lennart Karl’s opener before equalising just before the break. He then assisted the third and fifth goals before bending in a superb curling finish to complete the rout.

What Kompany says...
“He’s very detail-oriented in his work – that’s what sets him apart. That was also true of Kevin De Bruyne, whom I watched at Manchester City on his way to becoming world-class. Michael can become one of the best attacking players ever. He’s on a very good path."
What Olise says...
“Every time I see the Bayern badge on my shirt, I feel a part of something big. I have the feeling there’s a lot more to come. I’m working very hard on that every day because I don’t just want to win as many trophies as possible with Bayern – I want to step up in the big moments, make history with this team, leave a legacy. If that wasn’t my ambition, I’d be in the wrong place.”
