Christopher Nkunku struck twice on the final day of the season to move level with Niclas Füllkrug on 16 league goals as the pair shared the 2022/23 Torjägerkanone.

Christopher Nkunku
Club: RB Leipzig
Goals: 16

Füllkrug must share the trophy after Nkunku, who was the league's Player of the Season in 2021/22, struck twice on the final day to take his tally to 16 to-flight strikes for the campaign. Nkunku had netted 12 of his 14 goals by early November, and might well have cruised to this award were it not for a series of injury setbacks. His four subsequent efforts after recovering from injury came across the last five matches of the season, culminating in his Matchday 34 brace that saw Leipzig relegate Schalke with a 4-2 victory.

Niclas Füllkrug
Club: Werder Bremen
Goals: 16

Füllkrug gained promotion with Bremen last season as an injury-prone striker of promise who had only recent settled into a rhythm at the club, and was outscored in the second flight by strike partner Marvin Ducksch. Fast-forward 12 months, and Füllkrug is Bremen's first Bundesliga top scorer since Miroslav Klose in 2005/06. His sharp finishing and powerful all-round centre-forward play this season also earned him his first call-up to the Germany national team in time for the 2022 World Cup - and he now boasts six goals in six international appearances. Füllkrug almost claimed the Torjägerkanone for his own but will have to settle for a share of the spoils.

Randal Kolo Muani
Club: Eintracht Frankfurt
Goals: 15

Kolo Muani has enjoyed an incredible debut Bundesliga season. The explosive French striker has matched his 15 goals with 11 league assists, and he finishes the campaign as the man with the most goal involvements in the league. His 15th top-flight goal came on the final day of the season as Kolo Muani traded strikes with Vincenzo Grifo - the next man on the list and one he shares third place with.

Vincenzo Grifo
Club: Freiburg
Goals: 15

No Freiburg player has ever finished a Bundesliga season as the division's top scorer, but Grifo gave it a good go and scored on the final day of the campaign to take his tally to 15. The Italian's set-piece mastery almost took Freiburg to the promised land of UEFA Champions League football, but they ultimately came up just short in their pursuit. The Europa League beckons once more for Freiburg and Grifo next term after finishing fifth.

Serge Gnabry
Club: Bayern Munich
Goals: 14

With former team-mate Robert Lewandowski winning the top scorer's crown in each of the past five seasons, Gnabry provided the most serious challenge to keep the trophy in Munich. Five goals in his final five appearances catapulted him into contention, but the Germany international couldn't quite get over line. With 14 league goals, this was his joint-most prolific Bundesliga season and his contributions helped Bayern get over the line in one of the tightest title races in recent memory.
