What was even more impressive was that Schick needed only 65 shots during the season to reach his tally, scoring on average with every third shot. Jonathan Burkardt, remember the name. Mainz fans certainly won’t be forgetting it any time soon after he became the club’s all-time top scorer in the Bundesliga, converting 18 times during the 24/25 season. Now with 41 Bundesliga goals, he has overtaken Mainz’s previous record scorer in Karim Onisiwo.

It seems as though Gladbach have finally found the perfect attacking complement to Alassane Pléa up front, with summer arrival Kleindienst scoring 16 times during the 24/25 season. With that hugely impressive tally, the former Heidenheim man became the most successful Gladbach scorer during a single Bundesliga season since Marco Reus all the way back in 2011/12, when he scored 18 goals. Kleindienst also set a Bundesliga record this past term, scoring seven headed goals.
