RB Leipzig striker Marc Guiu suffers injury setback
RB Leipzig summer signing Marc Guiu will be unavailable for the next few weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in training.
The 20-year-old made his Bundesliga debut for Leipzig on Matchday 2, coming on as a late substitute in their loss to Werder Bremen.
Guiu then started Leipzig's defeat to Como in the UEFA Champions League, but he will now have to wait several weeks until he can take to the pitch again following his injury.
The striker joined Die Roten Bullen on a permanent basis this summer from English Premier League side Chelsea, where he also suffered a serious hamstring injury during the 2024/25 campaign.
Guiu be eager to regain full fitness as soon as possible and help Martín Demichelis' side challenge at the top of the Bundesliga table.
