Malik Tillman signs first pro contract with Bayern Munich
German attacking midfielder Malik Tillman has secured his long-term future at Bayern Munich after signing his first professional contract with the record champions.
Tillman made his debut for the first team this season - coming on to score in the 12-0 DFB Cup win at Bremer SV - and the 19-year-old has now penned a fresh deal that runs until 2024.
"My goal is to establish myself at the highest level," he said as the news was announced. "I will give everything for that."
The Germany U20 international, whose father is American and whose older brother Timothy was also at Bayern before moving to Greuther Fürth last year, has joined young goalkeeper Christian Früchtl in earning a new contract.
Germany youth international Früchtl has yet to make his first-team breakthrough but the 21-year-old was also praised by Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic after inking a deal that will expire in the summer of 2023.
"We are very happy with the development of Christian Früchtl and Malik Tillman," Salihamidzic said. "Both came to us as young talents and are great examples of our work with young players. They have everything they need to make progress. We'll enjoy them a lot."
Bayern lead the Bundesliga after five games, and Malik will be reunited with his brother Timothy when the nine-in-a-row defending champions visit bottom club Fürth on Friday.
