Bayern Munich made it back-to-back pre-season wins after coming from behind to beat Liverpool 4-3 in Singapore.

Bayern Munich 4-3 Liverpool
Goals:
0-1 Gapko (2'), 0-2 Van Dijk (28'), 1-2 Gnabry (33'), 2-2 Sane (42'), 2-3 Luis Diaz (66'), 3-3 Stanisic (80'), 4-3 Krätzig (90')

It didn't always look like Thomas Tuchel's side would end their pre-season tour of Asia on a high note, particularly as Cody Gakpo put Liverpool ahead inside two minutes in front of a 50,000-strong crowd. Bayern had an even bigger mountain to climb when Virgil van Dijk doubled the English team's advantage with a header shortly before the half-hour mark, but the defending Bundesliga champions soon kicked into gear and were level before half-time thanks to strikes from Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane, with the former also making the latter's strike.

Former RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai had a shot from range as the blink-and-you-miss-it nature of the game continued after the break, before Luis Diaz fired Liverpool back in front midway through the half. However, Bayern once again fought back and equalised through Josip Stanisic, who had scored the only goal of the game in the win over Kawasaki Frontale, setting up a grandstand finale which Tuchel's side edge thanks to a last-minute wonder-goal from 20-year-old reserve team player Frans Krätzig.

Tuchel hails attacking department

"Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman have shown their value to Bayern," said Tuchel at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. "After the departure of Robert Lewandowski, the responsibility for goals was shared across more shoulders. They work hard for the team. We have a lot of options, Jamal Musiala and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting can also play on the wings. We train on our principles, a very important part of which is what happens after losing the ball. They're the first who initiate the pressing."

Friends reunited

Konrad Laimer swapped Leipzig for Bayern this summer, meaning he will face former teammate Dominik Szoboszlai for the first time - the Hungarian likewise left the Red Bull Arena last month to join Liverpool.

Big-name absentees

First-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is making good progress as he recovers from a leg break, but he is not yet ready to play and has not featured in any of the team's summer friendlies so far. Meanwhile, Thomas Müller and Raphael Guerreiro both missed the trip to Asia through injury in order to work on their recoveries back in Munich.
