Kingsley Coman will be given an official farewell by Bayern Munich ahead of their Bundesliga Matchday 12 game at home to St. Pauli on Saturday, having left the club over the summer.

Coman, who spent a decade in Munich before joining Al-Nassr a couple of months ago, returned to the Bavarian capital on Friday owing to the Saudi Pro League's month-long hiatus.

Having spent time catching up with old friends and former teammates, he is now set to have the formal send-off he didn't receive over the summer prior to kick-off in the league-leaders' Saturday meeting with St. Pauli.

"This philosophy, the Mia san Mia, this family feeling - that is something special," the 29-year-old told Bayern's official website. "That’s why I came back."

Over his 10 years in Bavaria, Coman was a serial winner. Across 339 total appearances in all competitions, the winger netted 72 goals, of which 46 came in the Bundesliga.

Along the way, the Frenchman earned honours aplenty, winning nine league titles, three DFB Cups and the UEFA Champions League, among others.

However, it wasn't just the accolades he won which endeared Coman to the Bayern faithful - and vice versa - but rather the culture around the club.

“I had a great time in Munich," Coman continued. "I had many friends here who became like a family to me.” The club legend also joked that his "lederhosen are still hanging in the closet," and that "one day I want to put them on again and go to Oktoberfest with the boys.”
