Jürgen Klopp confirms Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala undergoing scan after injury on Germany duty
Germany coach Jürgen Klopp has confirmed Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala is undergoing an MRI scan after pulling out of the warm-up of the UEFA Nations League clash against the Netherlands in Amsterdam in what appeared to be a thigh injury.
Klopp said after the match: "Musiala is currently undergoing an MRI scan. I hope we get a diagnosis this evening and that it’s nothing serious."
The Bayern playmaker was replaced in the starting line-up by Mainz's Nadiem Amiri in the 1-1 draw in Klopp's first match in charge.
Klopp's initial expectation was that Musiala would miss Germany's second Nations League tie against Greece in Augsburg on Sunday (27 September, kick-off: 8:45pm CEST).
The 23-year-old had gained his first goal and assist of the Bundesliga season in Bayern's 7-0 win over Union Berlin on Matchday 4 just before the international break.
