Hugo Ekitiké leaves Eintracht Frankfurt for Liverpool
Hugo Ekitiké has signed a long-term deal with English champions Liverpool, departing Eintracht Frankfurt after an impressive 18-month spell in Germany's financial capital.
Ekitiké will now join up with 2023/24 Bundesliga champions Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, who both left Bayer Leverkusen for Liverpool early this summer.
"Hugo has improved tremendously in his 18 months with us and has been a real asset to our team and the club as a whole on and off the pitch," said Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche in an official club statement.
"We’re delighted he can now take the next step – a step he has earned through his performances with us.”

Having initially joined Frankfurt from Paris Saint-Germain on loan at the end of the 2024 January transfer window, Ekitiké went on to score 26 times in 64 appearances for Die Adler.
His stay was made permanent last summer, prompting a remarkable return last season as the 23-year-old struck 15 times and laid on eight assists in the Bundesliga.
That record extended to 22 goals in all competitions, with Ekitiké flourishing as Frankfurt's leading man in attack as the club secured a third-place league finish and UEFA Champions League football next season.
