Watch: Frankfurt celebrates its UEFA Europa League heroes
Eintracht Frankfurt celebrated their UEFA Europa League title with their fans at the Römer town hall in a style befitting their European adventure on Thursday.
Tens of thousands of Eintracht supporters gathered in the centre of Frankfurt in the afternoon to warm up for the celebrations. After the team landed at around 6pm following a night of partying in Seville, the European champions made their way to the Römer in open-top cars.
The highlight came when the players brought the Europa League trophy out onto the balcony for their fans to see at around 9.30.

“When I was at the Römer for the first time last year, I told my assistants that I wanted to be out on the balcony one day. And it’s now happened after just a year. You can win titles with money, or by being a big unit. That’s how we did it. Thank you for your support,” said head coach Oliver Glasner.
Martin Hinteregger added: “This title is for all of us. For you, for us, for Jürgen Grabowski, for my compatriot Bruno Pezzey. This title is incredible when you know the history of Eintracht in the last 10 years.”
