Borussia Dortmund's Jobe Bellingham and Bayer Leverkusen's Eliesse Ben Seghir make Golden Boy 2025 shortlist
Borussia Dortmund's Jobe Bellingham and Bayer Leverkusen's Eliesse Ben Seghir have made it through to the final 25 names in contention for the Golden Boy Award, and could follow in the footsteps of Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland and Mario Götze in claiming the prestigious honour.
Seghir was chosen among the top 20 Under-21 talents in a major European league as part of the award organised by Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Bellingham, meanwhile, was one of five talents to receive a wild card from the award organisers and complete the shortlist.
Should Bellingham take the title, he would become the fourth Dortmund talent to do so - and second in his own family!
His older brother Jude won the Golden Boy Award in 2023, the year he left the Bundesliga for Real Madrid, while Erling Haaland won in 2021 and Mario Götze back in 2011.

No Leverkusen player has won the honour as yet, with Renato Sanches being the sole player at another Bundesliga club to claim the prize, while at Bayern Munich in 2016.
A jury of 50 international journalists will elect the 2025 winner, whose identity is due to be announced in November.
Barcelona's Lamine Yamal is the reigning Golden Boy, having won the award in November 2024.
