Dominik Kohr equals Bundesliga record for most red cards
Dominik Kohr equalled the Bundesliga record for most red cards after being given his marching orders for an eighth time in Mainz's away win at Augsburg, joining Luiz Gustavo and Jens Nowotny at the top of the list.
Whether at Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Augsburg or now Mainz – a red-streak has ran through Kohr's career, as evidenced in his latest dismissal on Matchday 4.
His collision with Han-Noah Massengo led to Kohr's fifth red with the 05ers and eighth in total, equalling the record previously set by Gustavo and Nowotny.

His two cautions converting into a red means the yellows don't appear on his career record, leaving Kohr on 99 Bundesliga bookings. Only Stefan Effenberg (114) has accumulated more yellow cards.
Despite his sending off, coach Bo Henriksen defended his player: "Dominik just has this name, that's why he gets this yellow card. It was a wrong decision from my point of view. It was also my fault, I should have taken him off at half-time. But I thought it wouldn't be a problem."
