Germany and VfB Stuttgart forward Deniz Undav sidelined by knee injury
VfB Stuttgart are set to be without forward Deniz Undav for four to six weeks after the Germany international suffered a knee injury against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
Undav was replaced by Chris Führich in the 14th minute of the game, which Stuttgart won 1-0 thanks to Chema Andrés's goal late.
The 29-year-old has since undergone a scan, which revealed a tear to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.
Undav is now set to be sidelined for the next four to six weeks, ruling him out of a crucial run for Stuttgart as they compete across both domestic and continental fronts this season.
Watch: Stuttgart narrow win over Gladbach

Stuttgart sold striker Nick Woltemade to Newcastle United last week but have brought in a number of attacking reinforcements this summer, including Badredine Bouanani, Tiago Tomás and Lazar Jovanović.
Sebastian Hoeneß’s side return to action after the international break with a trip to Baden-Württemberg rivals Freiburg on Saturday 13 September.
