With 41,000 tickets already sold for Cologne U19's upcoming clash with Inter Milan U19 on 4 February, the Young Goats are on course to break the attendance record for a single UEFA Youth League encounter.

Incidentally, the previous record likewise involved Cologne's upcoming opponents, Inter. Set back in April 2025, the seemingly unassailable figure stood at 40,368 fans for the match between Turkish outift Trabzonspor and the black-and-blue Milan side.

However, as of Tuesday evening, the 41,000 tickets sold - a figure which may yet still rise - is set to eclipse the previous attendance record. Some support for a youth side!

The teams are meeting in the round of 32 with a 6pm CET kick-off on Wednesday 4 February.

Cologne have made it this far after winning the third qualifying round of the domestic champions pathway, having won the U19 Bundesliga last term with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the final.

Last season's championship win was one of just two in the history of Cologne U19, to go with two U19 domestic cup victories.

The senior team will be hoping to emulate the success of their understudies when they travel to the Black Forest to face Freiburg on Matchday 19 in the Bundesliga.
