Borussia Dortmund 'not feeling good' about Konstantinos Karetsas ankle injury

Borussia Dortmund are awaiting tests on an ankle injury sustained by 18-year-old attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas in the goalless draw at Union Berlin on Matchday 6.

Dortmund managing director for sport Lars Ricken said Karetsas twisted an ankle within minutes of coming on as a second-half substitute in the goalless draw at Union.

Ricken said: "Something's not quite right with it. We'll have to do further testing to determine how serious the injury is."

The club's sporting director Ole Book added: "Let's hope it's not too serious. At the moment, I don't feel good about it."

The talented Greece international was making his fifth Bundesliga appearance since signing from Genk in the summer, with one assist gained so far.

He missed the 3-0 win against Paderborn on Matchday 3 after a health scare.

Dortmund may have to travel to Sabah for their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday (kick-off 6.45pm CEST) without him. Their next Bundesliga encounter sees them welcome Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 7 next Saturday (kick-off 6.30pm CEST).
