Is Felix Nmecha leaving Borussia Dortmund? Sporting director Ole Book gives definitive answer
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book says he can "pretty much rule out" a transfer for star midfielder Felix Nmecha this summer.
"Of course, in theory, astronomical sums can always come into play," said Ole Book, before adding: "In Felix Nmecha's case, I think I can rule out [a transfer] pretty much entirely this summer."
Book considers it "highly unlikely" that the 25-year-old midfielder, who joined the Black and Yellows in the summer of 2023 and has since made 75 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia Dortmund, will leave the club in the coming weeks.
It was only in March that the German extended his contract with Dortmund, which will now run until June 2030
Nmecha was in the starting line-up for all four of Germany's matches at the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Notably, he scored in Die Nationalelf's opening game against Curaçao, before grabbing a crucial assist in the side's second match against Côte d'Ivoire.
