Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha signs new contract
Borussia Dortmund have tied midfield lynchpin Felix Nmecha to the club for the longer term, with the Germany international signing a new deal running until June 2030.
Nmecha joined Dortmund in summer 2023 after two seasons at Wolfsburg and has become a key part of Niko Kovač's side, making 71 Bundesliga appearances for the club and playing in all of their first 25 matches in their 2025/26 campaign.
"I've had many great experiences with this club and its fans over the past few years and am very grateful for the club's trust," said the six-time Germany international. "I want to repay that trust by giving my best for Borussia Dortmund."

Nmecha, who made his professional debut in 2019 whilst at Manchester City, has hit five goals in all competitions in 2025/26 so far to help his side reach the UEFA Champions League knockout play-offs, where they were narrowly beaten by Atalanta, and second spot in the Bundesliga.
"Felix has become a very important part of our team. He always finds creative solutions, even when under pressure. He brings incredible quality to the pitch – both for us and for the German national team. We are convinced that his development curve will continue to rise in the future," said Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
Dortmund's managing director Lars Ricken added: "We are delighted to continue our journey together with Felix. He identifies completely with Borussia Dortmund and is a key component of our strategic planning for the squad. His contract extension signals continuity and underlines our conviction that we will be successful together in the coming years."
Nmecha and his Dortmund teammates will hope to take a step closer to ensuring a top-four finish (and qualification for next season's Champions League) with a win at home to Augsburg on Matchday 26.
