The decennial instalment of this particular pre-season tour will take place between 1 and 8 August, with Bayern first heading to the South Korean island of Jeju before then moving on to Hong Kong.

At both destinations, two 'Audi Football Summits' have already been arranged. On 4 August, the Bavarians will face off against local South Korean side Jeju SK at the Jeju World Cup Stadium. Then, on 7 August, Der Rekordmeister will meet English club Aston Villa at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.

Information about ticket sales will be disclosed at a later date via the club's website.

Upon the announcement, Bayern board member for marketing & sales Rouven Kasper shared his thoughts, saying: "It speaks volumes that FC Bayern will be undertaking its tenth Audi Summer Tour overseas [...] Internationalisation is essential for the whole of German football to continue to develop – and FC Bayern has been a pioneering force in this field for years.

"We are at home in Munich and at the same time keep our fans and partners all over the world in mind. Around a billion people follow FC Bayern, a good half of whom are from Asia. We are very much looking forward to this trip,” he added.

Whilst Asia has been the destination for four previous summer tours, Bayern have only visited both South Korea and Hong Kong once each before. Back in 2007, the Bavarians beat Brazilian giants FC São Paulo 2-1 in the latter, with Miroslav Klose and Hamit Altintop the scorers for Munich that day.

Much more recently in the summer of 2024, Bayern faced English outfit Tottenham Hotspur in the South Korean capital Seoul, where they likewise claimed a 2-1 victory thanks to strikes from Leon Goretzka and Gabriel Vidović.
