Aurèle Amenda completes move to Coventry City from Eintracht Frankfurt

Aurèle Amenda has completed a move to English Premier League side Coventry City from Eintracht Frankfurt, the Eagles have confirmed.

The transfer brings an end to Amenda's two-year stay at Deutsche Bank Park, having joined from Young Boys in his native Switzerland ahead of the 2024/25 season."

We’d like to thank Aurèle for his commitment in an Eintracht Frankfurt shirt. He always conducted himself with professionalism and always put the team first," said Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche. "We wish him all the best for the future, both in his sporting career and in his private life."

During his time at Frankfurt, Amenda made 42 competitive appearances, including 32 in the Bundesliga. He also made his first senior Switzerland appearance while on Frankfurt's books, and was part of the squad that reached the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-finals.

Amenda is the third Frankfurt departure of the transfer window, with Rasmus Kristensen joining Midtjylland and Mahmoud Dahoud leaving following the end of his contract. In preparation of the 2026/27 campaign, Frankfurt - with Adi Hütter back for a second spell as head coach - will return to training on 13 July, with their first competitive fixture coming against St. Tönis in the DFB Cup first round on 21 August.
