
Anton Stach leaves Hoffenheim for Leeds United
Anton Stach has departed Hoffenheim for newly promoted English Premier League team Leeds United.
The two-time Germany international teams up with former Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Daniel Farke at Elland Road, where Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha will also feature in 2025/26 following their recent moves from Wolfsburg.
Midfielder Stach racked up a combined 139 Bundesliga appearances for Mainz and Hoffenheim, having previously helped Greuther Fürth to German top-flight promotion. The 6'4" Lower Saxony native was also part of Germany's 2021 UEFA European U21 Championship-winning team.
Stach won both of of his senior international caps under former Germany coach Hansi Flick in 2022.
For their part, Hoffenheim have so far strengthened with the arrivals of Leon Avdullahu, Tim Lemperle, Kōki Machida and Deniz Zeitler ahead of the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign, which Christian Ilzer's side begin with a Matchday 1 game away to Bayer Leverkusen on 23 August.
