Kramarić, who signed for the club in 2016 from Leicester City, initially on loan, has become a legend at Hoffenheim and is their all-time top scorer with 157 goals, including 139 in the Bundesliga.

“I’m very proud to be able to continue wearing the TSG shirt in the future," the 34-year-old said in a statement. "Everyone knows what this club means to me. I feel extremely comfortable here. The club and the region have long since become my second home. I’m delighted that this special relationship will continue.

“I feel in top shape and I’m particularly looking forward to competing in Europe again with TSG. As a team, under the leadership of [managing director] Andreas Schicker and Chris Ilzer, we’ve embarked on an ambitious path that isn’t finished yet. We’ve got a lot planned with this squad, and I’ll give everything to achieve our goals.”

“Andrej is one of the faces of the club and has shaped TSG over the past decade," said Schicker. "Since his arrival more than ten years ago, he has been a key pillar of the team’s sporting success and an absolute leader.

"He is an exceptional footballer with special abilities, as well as an ambitious model professional who takes responsibility both on and off the pitch. We’re very pleased that Andrej will continue to be part of our team.”

Hoffenheim are currently fighting for a first UEFA Champions League campaign in eight years, as they sit fifth with three games remaining. They host Stuttgart next on Matchday 32 of the Bundesliga campaign. Looking further ahead, Kramarić is expected to be in the Croatia squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
