Bayer Leverkusen double winner Amine Adli joins Bournemouth
Bayer Leverkusen's 2024 Bundesliga and DFB Cup double-winning attacker, Amine Adli, has ended his stay at the Werkself after sealing a move to English Premier League side Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old Morocco international arrived at the BayArena from Toulouse in 2021 and went on to play 143 times for the Bundesliga team across all competitions during his four seasons in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Born in Béziers, France, Adli declared his international allegiance to Morocco in 2023 and he has since gone on to win 15 senior caps with the Atlas Lions.
A key member of former Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso's 2023/24 team that won a maiden Bundesliga title by becoming the first German top-flight team to go an entire campaign unbeaten, Adli was the DFB Cup's top scorer with five goals that season as Bayer 04 added the Pokal to an unforgettable year in which the Werkself also reached the UEFA Europa League final.
Leverkusen have since rebuilt under new coach Erik ten Hag and they begin a fresh tilt at Bundesliga glory with an opening day fixture at home to Hoffenheim on Saturday.
